Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has arrived in Ghana Friday evening on a two-day working visit.
He was met on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport by President John Mills and other government officials.
Goodluck Jonathan will be hosted to a State banquet by President John Mills later in the evening, according to Joy News correspondent Seth Kwame Boateng.
Goodluck Jonathan will be decorated an honorary doctorate degree at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration on Saturday.
In an interview with Seth Kwame Boateng, the Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro said the visit by the Nigerian president is to entrench long-standing relationship between the two countries.
He hoped the youth in both countries will emulate the good example being set by the leaders.
Some Nigerian students here in Ghana could not hide their excitement seeing their president as they thronged the Kotoka International Airport, singing, dancing and cheering the two presidents.
Ghana on Thursday hosted Ivorian President Allassane Ouattara, who paid a day's working visit and to implore Ivorian nationals who fled post election violence to return home and help rebuild Ivory Coast.
