Inaugurating the Board, the Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, on behalf of the President, John Dramani Mahama, congratulated the newly constituted Board of Directors for the Engineering Council of Ghana, adding that, “your selection not only recognises your expertise and leadership but also shows the government’s confidence in your collective ability to guide the Council through this vital phase of national transformation".
Mr. Adjei added that the government expects the Council to serve as a beacon of excellence in infrastructure delivery, ensuring that every project, whether a rural bridge, a national highway, a public hospital, or a water treatment facility, is executed to the highest standards, is climate-resilient, and meets the long-term needs of our communities.

“Your role in promoting local content and fostering Ghanaian engineering talent is equally vital. Through these initiatives, we will generate sustainable jobs, spur homegrown innovation, and reduce our reliance on external expertise”, the Minister concluded.

Isaac Bedu said, the engineering Council, established by the Engineering Council Act, 2011 (Act 819) and its regulations, is the regulatory body for engineering practice in Ghana.
