Mr. Emmanuel Andema, District Chief Executive for Kassena Nankana District, on Friday called on government to strengthen its collaboration with the Catholic Church to promote education for the rapid development of the country.
Mr.Andema who was speaking at the closing of the 33rd Annual National Conference of Regional Managers of Catholic Educational Unit, at the Saint John Bosco’s College of Education in Navrongo, said government was committed to providing the educational needs of the people.
The conference which was aimed at fostering good relationship between teachers and managers of the Unit was on the theme: “Catholic Education for Holistic Development, the Role of Stakeholders.”
Naa Frank J.B. Naeroh, President of the Conference, said the Unit had contributed positively to national development and it expected government to support it.
He advised teachers to take good care of their school children and teach them Christian values.
