Vice President, John Dramani Mahama has announced that government has set up a Committee to settle all boundary disputes in the country.
He hopes the Committee will help resolve all boundary disputes ranging between various traditional areas across the country.
The Vice President was speaking at a durbar of Chiefs and people of Ada to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Asafotufiam festival.
Joy News Correspondent, Benjamin Tetteh reports that the vice president made the revelation following a call by the paramount chief of the Ada Traditional area, Nene Kabu Akoako for government to take action on the conflicts on boundaries.
Mr. John Mahama said “government has set a committee to demarcate the boundaries, look at the issue of the boundaries and resolve them once and for all.”
He called for support for the committee in order to ensure its success in carrying out the mandate.
Touching on the Ada Sea Defense project, the Vice President said preparatory work has been done on the project and that President Mills will be in area later this year to cut sod for work to officially begin.
