Government is embarking on a project to up its revenues from game reserves and recreational centers across the country.
The arrangement will see government join hands with private businesses to transform some game reserves into recreational centers as part of efforts to encourage eco-tourism and promote a green economy.
Some areas to benefit from the project include the Achimota forest, Shai Hills and the Kakum national park.
Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Mike Hammer tells Joy Business government is hopeful the project will be completed by the first quarter of next year.
He said a memo has been sent to cabinet for consideration.
Mr. Hammer adds that government is currently negotiating with some land owners to ensure full access to the Achimota Park.
