Government says it will pay salaries owed about 240 Junior Doctors across the country by the end of May.
This assurance by Government comes after the angry doctors wrote to the Health Ministry, expressing worry about delays in the payment of their salaries.
All 240 doctors have not been paid their salaries since September last year.
However, the Health Ministry says the 7 months delay in the payment of salaries of the doctors is due to its inability to obtain clearance from the Finance Ministry.
Deputy Health Minister Dr. Victor Bampoe told Joy News his outfit is working to avoid a recurrence of the problem after May 31.
He said the Health Ministry will begin a process to acquire financial clearance for the doctors from the Finance Ministry even before they complete their programme.
