The General Secretary of the council, Apostle Samuel Antwi stressed the importance of religious co-existence ahead of the polls.
He stated that the 2012 elections bestow an opportunity for faith- based oganisations to play a role in Ghana’s developmental process.
Alexander Opoku- Akubia, the Greater Accra Regional Director of the Electoral Commission explained that it has become necessary for Ghana to take up the biometric registration serious so as to create a more accurate and reliable register which would eliminate and detect names of individuals who have registered more than once.
The Council announced it would later in the year hold prayer meetings, peace walks and seminars all aimed at achieving a successful election outcome.
