Accra Hearts of Oak suffered yet another setback in their title hopes when they slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Bechem United.
The decisive goal of the game was scored by the enterprising Kofi Tompuo in the 52nd minute of the game.
Wednesday's goal means Tompuo has now scored against both Hearts and Asante Kotoko at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park this season.
The result is the second successive defeat suffered by Hearts of Oak, after losing to Dreams F.C. last week. That defeat ended the Phobians seven game unbeaten run.
Hearts of Oak have now slipped out of the four, occupying fifth place with 36 points.
The Phobians are now four points behind league leaders, Bibiani Gold Stars.
Meanwhile, Bechem United have now moved into the top four with 36 points, but are ahead of Hearts of Oak on superior goal difference.
