Vision Football Club suffered their first defeat in the Ghana Premier League following their loss to FC Samartex on Sunday, September 29.
The defending champions left it late to ensure a 2-1 victory at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena to pick up their first win of the season.
Vision came into the fixture with no defeat in their opening three games of the new campaign having won one and drawn two while Samartex avoided defeat in the only game they had played prior to this fixture.
Isaac Afful opened the scoring for the home side at the 44th-minute mark to give them a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Their lead was cut short in the second half as Vision FC grabbed their equaliser through Gideon Ofori Offei in the 71st minute of the encounter.
Despite holding off the threats of Samartex for most parts of the second half, the away side were undone by Michael Ephson in the 94th minute of the game.
Ephson's strike meant Samartex restored their lead and eventually went on to pick up all three points in Samreboi.
Samartex will face now Bibiani GoldStars in their next game on Wednesday at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena as they clear one of their two outstanding matches.
Vision will seek a first home win when they take on fellow newcomers Basake Holy Stars in the next round of the league action.
