Second half substitute Isaac Oppong provided two assists and scored a well taken volley as Asante Kotoko came from behind to beat Dreams FC at the Accra Sports stadium on Saturday.
Dreams' marquee signing Fatawu Issahaku, who was drafted straight into the team, scored a wonderful solo game on his debut.
The 17-year-old glided his way past four Kotoko players before lifting the ball past an onrushing Razak Abalora.
The goal came against the round of play as the Porcupines were starting to assert their dominance in the second half.
Solomon Agbasi looked on course to win the man of the match award after repelling an Ismail Ganiyu free kick which was goal bound.

Agbasi had been excellent in the game making three world class saves in the first half to deny Stephen Amankona, Fabio Gama and Christopher Nettey.
Kotoko turned the game around in the last six minutes with Salifu Mudasiru bombing forward and rolling the ball under Agbasi.
Oppong found himself at the far post as his volley went straight into the roof of the net to give the Porcupines the lead.
Lamptey, who was voted as man of the match, put the game beyond Karim Zito's men with a trademark long range strike.
Kotoko squad depth pays off
Last season, Asante Kotoko had a very limited squad. As a result, key players such as Gama, Gyamfi and Ganiyu barely had a rest.
However, circumstances have been different this season with the Kumasi-based club signing 16 new players.
Prosper Nateh Ogum had quality on the bench this time and had the luxury of subbing off Gama and Amankona.

Oppong, who was also a second substitute, changed the game as he provided two assists and got a goal for himself.
He dribbled past his man before putting Mudasiru through on goal for Kotoko's equaliser.

The 18-year-old then sent a volley past Agbasi before laying the ball off to Lamptey, who scored Kotoko's third goal.
After the game, coach Ogum was full of praise for Oppong.
"Isaac on the right, he's a fantastic player. He's very good on the ball. he was able to take on the Dreams left back most of the time and created chances for his team mates to score. He also ended up scoring himself. It was a good substitution that we did."
