A fifteen-member committee of the Greater Accra Regional Kickboxing Association (GAKBA) has been inaugurated as part of efforts to develop and popularise the sport.
A release signed by Mr Samuel S. Atuahene, Regional Sports Development Officer of the Greater Accra Region copied to the GNA Sports stated that the association was inaugurated on Tuesday, September 25 at the Conference Hall of the Regional Co-ordinating Council.
The Committee, which is under the Chairmanship of George Adjei was sworn into office by the Regional Sports Development Officer of the National Sports Council, Mr S.S. Atuahene who later administered the Oath of Office.
The other members of the Committee are Nana Osafo Asomani - Vice Chairman, Hussein Akueteh Addy - General Secretary, Reginald Dodoo - Organising Secretary, Seth Mensah - Public Relations Officer, Edmund Abban - Treasurer and Slater Commodore - Technical Advisor in charge of Kick.
Others are Alexander Adjartey - Assistant Technical Advisor in charge of Kick and Raymond Shamo Quaye - Technical Advisor in charge of Boxing.
The Statement named Joseph Boye, Joseph Mingle, Arafat Quaye, Ebenezer Quaye, Bampa Akunnor and Boye Issah as executive members.
