The Presidential Candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) will on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, take his turn at the Evening Encounter organised by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA).
Ivor Kobina Greenstreet will use the opportunity to outline his vision for the country should he be voted for as President of Ghana at the November 2016 polls.
Speaking to Joynews ahead of the evening, the CPP leader said: “In the CPP we are interested in the golden age of opportunity.”
The first of the 2016 Evening Encounter with Presidential Candidates commenced with the Presidential Candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Dr Edward Mahama who articulated his vision to Ghanaians.

Dr Mahama chided the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) for awarding major government contracts through sole-sourcing.
He disclosed he would change the legal framework giving backing to sole-sourcing for contracts to be awarded based on competitive tendering.
The Presidential Candidates of all the competing political parties will partake in the IEA Evening Encounter with the exception of President John Dramani Mahama, Presidential Candidate of the NDC.
His party pulled out of all IEA-related programmes based on the claim that the think-tank is doing the bidding of the largest opposition political party, New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Executive Director of IEA Jean Mensah has refuted the claims saying the institute's platforms are credible and opened to all political parties.
Mr Greenstreet has hinted he will use the night to highlight how his party will handle the unemployment situation in the country better than the Mahama-led government.
“One key area, of course, is by having employment and by having an income,” he said, noting, “We believe our alternative economic policies will lead to the kind of development we are all looking forward to in the country.”
