The Empowerment for Life Program with support from the Ghana Developing Communities Association (GDCA) and the YEFL-Ghana has donated items worth ¢12,550.00 to aid the Karaga District in the Northern Region in its fight against the coronavirus.
This follows an appeal to the organisation by the district assembly after various consultations.
The items included 1,000 examination hand gloves, 350 surgical nose masks, 200 hand sanitizers, 20 gallons of liquid soap, 25 veronica buckets among others.

The programs Manager of the Empowerment for Life Program, Mohammed Abdul Jabaru said the gesture was part of their contribution towards the fight against the pandemic.

He said the E4L program has also allocated some resources to the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) and the Information Service Department (ISD) in the Saboba, Karaga, kumbungu and Mion districts and the Savelugu Municipality to enhance the awareness creation.

Mr Abdul Jabaru said the sharing of PPEs will be extended to the Ghana Health Service in some five districts to intensify their community outreach programs and periodic meetings of Covid-19 emergency response committees in these districts.
