Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, has established a relationship with Wakanow.com to enable the bank to receive payments across all branches nationwide from customers who make online bookings for flights, hotels, visa assistance, travel insurance, holiday packages, destination weddings, corporate travel etc on Wakanow’s website ghana.wakanow.com

Wakanow.com is Africa’s leading full-service, online travel company that provides travellers with a one stop portal for flights, accommodation, visa assistance, holiday packages and airport transportation.

The company provides customers, through their website, with everything they need to research, plan and purchase a trip, locally in Ghana or to any destination globally.

The partnership with GTBank, Ghana’s Technology Advance Bank 2014 and Best Bank in Product Innovation 2013, would allow customers of Wakanow.com to conveniently visit any of the thirty-one (31) branches of the bank nationwide to pay for bookings made via Wakanow’s website.

The customer after his booking would be given a reference number, which he would need to make payment at GTBank.

Immediately payment is made, GTBank automatically sends a notification to Wakanow.com to alert them of the transaction, after which Wakanow.com would then send an e-ticket to the customer via an email address provided during the online bookings.

GTBank has branches spread across seven regions, namely Greater Accra, Central, Western, Northern, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and Volta, making with the bank more convenient.

The Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, Mr. Lekan Sanusi stated that, “This partnership once again goes to prove our commitment to further establishing GTBank as a true one-stop-shop for customers and the general public”.

“It is our conviction that customers should be able to conduct as many transactions as they require once they visit any GTBank branch or even our internet banking portal”, he added.

He further stated that, “This partnership offers the bank the opportunity to work hand in hand with other sectors of the economy in order to meet the ever growing needs of customers and the general public”.
