The world is in ecstatic anticipation of the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards which happens later this year.
Touted as the biggest DJ event in Africa, Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, powered by Smirnoff, is exactly 180 days away from today; November 29, 2025, at the Palms Convention Center in Accra.

This year’s edition is its 13th, and promises to present a fascinating experience at the annual assembly of the finest disc jockeys in every part of Ghana and beyond. Its theme, ‘Shake the Floor’ has resonated with many who prioritize the priceless and valuable role of DJs both far and near.
‘Shake the Floor’ captures the very essence of what the awards represent — a high-energy celebration of music’s power to bring people together, break boundaries, and create unforgettable moments. It also underscores the invaluable contributions of DJs to the evolution of music, arts, and African culture.
Organized by Merqury Republic, proudly sponsored by the country’s leading total beverage company, Guinness Ghana and powered by Smirnoff, the prestigious awards ceremony has grown over the past 12 years into an international celebration of DJ culture. The platform has consistently showcased the diverse talents of DJs in Ghana and from around the world, including the USA, Denmark, Brazil, the UK, South Africa, and France.
The 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards has already confirmed more than half-a-dozen performances on this year’s stage, many of whom will be outdoored at the launch of this year’s event on July 12.

Meanwhile, the 12th edition saw performances from Ghana’s finest DJs including DJ Lord OTB, DJ Sonatty, DJ Shiwaawa, and DJ Ikon. The night also witnessed memorable performances from Edem, Merqury Quaye, Guru, Andy Dosty, Keche, DJ Nyce and Keche.
Innovation takes center stage at this year’s edition with the introduction of a sound clash (reggae DJ battle) between two of Ghana’s revered sound clash groups. This segment which upholds Jamaican music culture in high esteem is bound to elevate the excitement of patrons who throng the Palms Convention Center for the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards.

As Ghana and the world anticipate November 29, a series of signature pre-event activations such as the nationwide tour, Pub Fest, Ghana DJ Clinic, Ladies Concert, and Nominees Jam, are all set to deepen engagement between fans and DJs across the country. The full itinerary will be released in the coming weeks.
