Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan says he is under no pressure to replicate his outstanding form in the French top league in this week’s World Cup in South Africa. The forward is expected to play a major part if the Black Stars are to progress to the second round of the tournament. He was key when Ghana reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in January as he scored most of the goals for his country. The Rennes attacker scored 13 goals for his club this season and with their opening game against Serbia approaching Gyan is under pressure from the fans to bang in the goals. But the France-based attacker insists he is under no pressure to deliver the goals.“I don’t think there is any pressure on me. Let the matches in South Africa start and let’s see what happens there,” Gyan said.Gyan scored the fastest goal at the 2006 World Cup.Ghana will play Serbia, Australia and Germany in Group D.Source: Ghanasoccernet.com
