Ghana’s Haminu Draman hopes his Russian club, Lokomotiv Moscow would not block his loan move to the English Premiership.
Stoke City had revealed a six-month loan deal to bring Draman to the Britannia Stadium.
However, Lokomotiv have responded by saying they will not sanction the Ghanaian international's move until the end of the Russian domestic season in November.
Draman is eager to link up with the Potters and is anxious for Lokomotiv to not derail his switch to the Premier League.
"It is news to me," Draman told skysports.com in response to reports Lokomotiv will not allow him to leave.
"I am looking forward to my debut, hopefully the clubs will reach an agreement.
"I have dreamed about this moment of joining a Premier League club. This is the best league in the world.
"No disrespect to the Russian league, but all the best players play their football here.
"I hope the two clubs can agree. I love the Premier League and, though the Russians gave me a chance to be in Europe, hopefully they will reach an agreement."
