Accra Hearts of Oak opened the defence of the OneTouch Premiership with a barren draw in this season’s opener against city rivals, Accra Great Olympics at the El-Wak Stadium in a local derby on Sunday.
The Phobains fared below expectation to profit from their city rivals in a game that had been dubbed the top liner for the week.
Even though the game was boing, Hearts had the better chance to record a home win with several scoring chances wasted by Eric Gawu, Francis Bossman and Samuel Affum.
The few times Olympics threatened, it was Bortey Bortey who stayed in the thick of affairs but also failed to find target.
In one of their scanty threats, Bortey Bortey ensured Hearts goalkeeper Laud Quartey proved why he commands the defending champion’s number one position with a fine set piece just around the area on the 40th minute mark.Source: GNA
