Accra’s Detty December celebrations get an early comic spark as Nigerian-Ghanaian stand-up act Jacinta Asi Ocansey, known as Heiress Jacinta, headlines “Jacinta the 4Runner”, her fourth annual special.
The show is set for December 7 at De-Icon Event Center, East Legon, with doors open at 6pm.
What started as an audacious debut in 2022 has become one of Ghana's most talked about comedy nights. Jacinta launched her flagship show, ‘One Night Stand’, in 2022, followed by ‘Woman on Top’ in 2023 and ‘Sugar Mummy of Accra’ in 2024.
Each edition has broadened her reach and raised the bar for female-led stand-up comedy in the region.
Jacinta has long blended music, acting and observational comedy into a brand of humour that leans heavily on African everyday life. Her material pulls from family dramas, travel and visa headaches, and the small humiliations that become big stories when told with timing and honesty.
Over the years she has carved a loyal audience by keeping jokes culturally specific while staying universally funny.

The 2025 edition promises more than a familiar routine. Organisers say the stage will be bigger, the jokes sharper and the surprise acts plentiful. Celebrity guests and cameo performances have become a hallmark of her specials, giving the night a variety show energy that keeps even repeat patrons guessing.
Sponsors on board include Onga, Accra City Hotel and Cocktail Laboratory, signalling commercial confidence in the event.
Jacinta made news early in her career when she became the first female to headline a stand-up comedy special in Ghana. That milestone, recorded in several local outlets, remains an important moment for women in a field that is still male-dominated.
Tickets are on sale now. Early bird, luxury and premium tiers are listed on Veetickets and through Jacinta’s booking lines. Grab your e-tickets via *714*11*12# or book a table by calling 0559914432.
'Jacinta the 4Runner' is more than a comedy night. It is proof of momentum for a performer who has grown an independent platform from scratch, challenged norms, and steadily expanded what a comedy special can look like in Ghana.
Expect an evening that mixes sharp cultural commentary with theatrical flair. If you like your comedy warm, pointed and proudly local, this one is worth the ticket.
