Mr. Alhassan Samari, Upper East Regional Minister, has urged development partners to support the education sector to complement government's effort at enhancing the educational system in the country.
He said Government introduced the New Educational Reform, Capitation Grant, School Feeding Programme and the Metro-Bus System towards the development of the human resource base.
Mr. Samari was speaking at the 15th Matriculation Ceremony of the University for Development Studies (UDS) at the weekend at the Navrongo Campus in the Upper East Region.
He advised the students "You have to work hard to give back what society had given to you by taken your studies seriously."
Mr. Samari said the Government would do everything possible to support the University and commended the educational institution for being gender sensitive in it admission.
In all 4,051 persons out of the 6,396 applicants gained admission into the University.Source: GNA
