Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo says he can only be content with getting a point from the derby against city rivals Great Olympics.
The fiercely contested Accra derby failed to produce a goal but had many talking points at the Accra Stadium on Sunday.
The Phobians from the start bossed around in a confident mood amidst missed chances but their dominance was later evened by their hosts who looked more defensively organized and tactical.
“I’m happy with the point as far as the game went but I wanted a win because the position we are now, we have to win, win, and win [sic],” Addo told supersport.com after the game.
“We knew they were going to be difficult and defensively organized. Their coach Yaw Acheampong was a defender.
“We looked a bit over-confident. We were holding the ball well, keeping possession and they were getting the time to organize.
Coach Addo observed the need to get his forwards sharper than they were in the game.
“Our strikers were a bit sluggish. If we were a bit fast in moving their defenders out of position, I think things would have been better. We have to work on that aspect. Even if it’s a German defence, we have to find a way to penetrate it,” he said.
“We have to move on and look forward to the next game on Wednesday.”
Hearts travel to face league leaders AshantiGold who lost 0-1 away to All Stars in a match day 15 fixture at the Len Clay Stadium on April 29.
