A man is in the grips of the Police for killing his friend over cow milk at Fumboi, a village near Tinga in the Bole district of the Savannah Region.
The suspect, Adamu Jimah is said to have been involved in a fight with the deceased, Abubakari Osman, while both were armed with a cutlass.Â
In an interview, the Bole District Police Commander, DSP Benjamin A. Buxton, said the suspect claimed the deceased, 20-years-old, drank his cow milk which resulted in the fight.
He added that the suspect inflicted multiple cutlass wounds on Abubakari Osman, while he also sustained some injuries, but when he noticed the deceased was weak, he decided to take him to the hospital.
On their way, some members of the community watchdogs committee saw them and after interrogation, decided to rush the victim to the hospital but Abubakari Osman died before they got to the hospital.
Together with the suspect, the community watchdogs went to the Police station and lodged a complaint.
DSP Buxton added that the suspect is in Police custody and will be arraigned before the Bole magistrate Court.
He also urged the Community Committee watchdogs across the district to continue to support the Police in keeping watch over the community.
He further urged the chiefs to support the community watchdogs committee to help reduce crime in the district.
