A significant loss by HFC Bank in trading on Friday caused the main gauge of Ghana Stock Exchange to end the week down.
The Index lost 6.79 points at 5,355.39 points from 5,362.18 points while change for the year was also lower at 6.79 per cent from 7.11 per cent on Thursday.
Total shares that changed hands went up by about three times at 329,800 from 113,700 on Thursday.
There were nine price changes, eight up and one down, with HFC losing GH 0.0450 cedis at GH 0.4950 cedis.
CAL Bank gained GH 0.0001 cedis at GH 0.3203 cedis, Ecobank Ghana was GH 0.0004 at GH 1.4815 cedis, Enterprise Insurance Company was GH 0.0090 cedis better at 1.0600 GH cedis while Ghana Commercial Bank gained 0.0002 GH cedis at 0.6862 GH cedis.
Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited was 0.0005 GH cedis up at 0.9601 GH cedis, Standard Chartered Bank gained 0.0100 GH cedis at 18.0800 GH cedis, SG-SSB inched up by 0.0001 GH cedis at 0.9001 GH cedis and TOTAL Petroleum was 0.0005 GH cedis better at 5.4460 GH cedis.
Market capitalization was GH cedis 11,512.22 from GH cedis 11,516.11 million cedis.
