As part of the visit, the Bank donated two separate cheques to the Asantehene. The first was for 45, 000 Ghana Cedis in respect of the celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the enstoolment of the Otumfuo as the 16th occupant of the Golden Stool whilst the other was for 5, 000 Ghana Cedis towards the impending Otumfuo Special Golf Tournament, scheduled for Kumasi.
Mr. Akuffo said the Bank had over the years worked tirelessly to satisfy its customers, offering the best advisory services in home ownership and also providing the right mortgage product to suit customers’ personal income and credit profile.
He praised the Asantehene, who is also the Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, for his visionary leadership and commitment to the development of education in the country.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu said with its history as a home finance company, HFC Bank ought to work assiduously in developing the mortgage industry.
He said the Bank has a responsibility to work towards retaining its image as the number one home loan provider and to address the housing needs of the people.
The Asantehene noted that housing in general was a major problem confronting the nation. He therefore called on financial institutions to make frantic efforts at providing reasonable home loans to the masses to address the issue.
