The Volta Regional Security Council (REGSEC) is locked up in an emergency meeting following a violent incident on Friday at the Ho Central Mosque.
Masked gunmen stormed the mosques and shot into an Islamic congregation who were preparing for the Juma prayers, injuring about 11 people.
The police have arrested some 14 people to investigate the incident connected to a protracted chief imamship impasse in the area.
The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, who is also the Chairman of REGSEC, promised a careful deliberation to resolve the issue to maintain peace among the Muslim community.
