The Ho Mutual Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) has intensified its campaign to meet the 60 per cent coverage target by the end of this year.
The Scheme has resorted to door-to-door and office-to-office registration to move from the current 29 per cent to the 60 per cent set target for all secretariats of the Scheme.
Mr Prosper Pi-Bansah, Ho MHIS Manager who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said the Scheme had already reached all communities around Ho and has currently intensified its campaign in the Township proper.
He said the Scheme had added Saturdays to its working days to be able to meet the target in time.
Mr Pi-Bansah said the Scheme was also training Community Health Insurance Committees, staff of the Scheme and agents with support from the Netherlands Development Organization on how to strategise to win more souls" for the Scheme.
He mentioned the lack of vehicles, inadequate staff and office space as major problems facing the Scheme, but said they were committed to rising above the limitations and meet the set target.
