The Municipal Chief Executive of Hohoe in the Volta Region has led a delegation of Muslim leaders to assess the extent of damage in the area after violent clashes between indigenes and Muslim youths.Dr Margaret Kweku led the delegation to the palace of Torgbui Gaabusu which was vandalized by angry Muslim youth who were protesting the exhumation of the body of their Imam.Joy News correspondent Isaac Kwesi Minta, who was part of the team reported that the delegation also visited shops and houses belonging to Muslims which were torched by the indigenes.The tour was to acquaint the leaders with the extent of damage caused by the violent clashes.Four people have been confirmed dead after hours of clashes between the two feuding factions which led to the imposition of a dawn-to-dusk curfew on the Hohoe Municipality.Calm has been restored after peace talks and intervention by the Regional Security Council, the National Chief Imam, the presidency and other stakeholders.
