The Chief Executive Officer of Holy Trinity Medical Center, Dr. Felix Anyah, has stated that the impeccable services of his Spa and Health Farm which is located at Sogakope in the Volta Region, has earned it the most enviable position in Ghana’s health delivery sector.The company ranked 34th during the eighth edition of the Ghana Club 100 awards ceremony organised by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) last Friday evening.The medical firm was also adjudged the best company in the health category during the awards ceremony.From the 95th position in the Ghana Club 100 rankings in 2002/2003, Holy Trinity Medical Center has consistently improved its position to 88th in 2004, and 65th in 2005. In 2006, it was ranked 49th and again climbed up the ladder to 34th in the 2008 edition of the ranking, which was announced last Friday evening.The company edged past bigger players such as Unilever Ghana, Benso Oil Palm Plantation, Agriculture Development Bank, Cocoa Processing among others.The company’s turnover, profits and size has increased consistently over the years because of the addition of the Spa concept and health farm to its line of business.The Holy Trinity Spa and Health Farm, a subsidiary of the Medical Center established some few years ago has so far created a multi-branding, enabling the health firm to increase its sales from traditional stand-alone orthodox medical service to severe alternate health and medical practices.It also includes health promotion, disease prevention and responds to stress, insomnia and several new lifestyle-induced ailments.Speaking in an exclusive interview with CITY & BUSINESS GUIDE yesterday, Dr. Anyah attributed the consistent growth of the centre to the immense growth of the Spa and Health Farm.“We are capturing a wider market and introducing new treatment for life-style diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, stroke and others. We provide excellent medical services to the masses.”He added, “The Spa is a health facility that captures people who are not healthy, but necessarily not diseased. It provides free medical exams, free dental scaling, polishing for good dental health, free massages and facials among others. The facility has also attracted so many people including the son of celebrated musician, Steve Wonder of the USA.”“In order to benefit from this global perspective to attract health/medical tourists from the traditional orthodox medical service, we needed to re-brand ourselves as alternative, complementary and orthodox medical and health service providers,” Dr. Anyah noted.Dr. Anyah also called for the inclusion of health tourism in the programmes of the Ghana Tourist Board to generate more revenue for the country.“Ghana needs to recognize the importance of medical tourism, and it should therefore be captured by the Ghana Tourist Board,” he explained.Dr. Anyah further revealed that the mission of the clinic was to lead a global paradigm shift in blissful and proactive medical and health care, with resources to provide the ten health pillars, which include regular physical exercise, scientific relaxation and restful sleep, management of stress and stress disorders and Christian discipleship.Source: Daily Guide/Ghana
