Senior journalist, Kweku Baako says a Chinese woman engaged in galamsey in the Ashanti Region, Asia Hwan, is using blackmail to escape the claws of the law.
She has been repeatedly arrested by the authorities and each time she is released because she has connections in high places in politics and the security agencies, Mr Baako said.
He told Samson Lardy Anyenini on Joy FM/MultiTV's news analysis programme Newsfile Saturday, Ms Hwan appears to be a smart operative who wriggles herself out of danger anytime she is arrested for galamsey related offenses.
