The newly installed Overlord of Dagbon Yaa-Na Abukari Mahama II has spoken exclusively to Joy News after his grand outdooring on Friday, January 25.
Speaking to Joy News’ Justice Baidoo from the refurbished Gbewaa Palace, he called for an end to the rivalry between the Abudus and Andanis over the Nam skin.
The 80-year-old was outdoored on Friday as the 44th occupant of the skin.
Speaking through an interpreter, the Octogenarian said in Dagbani that he is beginning a peace and reconciliation talks between the two gates.
He also pledged to foster unity in the kingdom.
He said he was confident that development can only take place in an atmosphere of peace and stability.
