HR Focus Magazine, a Human Resource magazine published by L’aine Services Limited, will be holding its annual Ghana HR Conference on the October 2, 2014.
This year’s event, which is under the theme, “The Role of HR in Maximising Organisational Effectiveness,” is part of L’aine Services’ Corporate Social Responsibility to bridge the Gap between Academia and Industry.
Speaking to the media on the upcoming event, CEO of L’aine Ellen Hagan, said the event will bring various stakeholders of Human Resource Development and students together to discuss and offer solutions to pressing issues affecting Human Resource Development in Ghana.
She added that as HR has moved from its traditional role as a support function to become a strategic business partner, it is imperative for Human Resource professionals to identify changing trends that are associated with their work in order to make the necessary impact in their organisations.
“The Ghana HR Conference will be in two phases and will comprise the Starlife HR Forum, which will be at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, and the ACCA Career Development Session, which will be held at the University of Ghana Business School Auditorium. Both events will be held the same day at the same time but at different venues”, Dr. Hagan said.
There will be an exhibition at both venues for various corporate entities to showcase some of the processes in their establishments,” she added.
StarLife Assurance, ACCA are sponsoring the event with support from Jospong Group of companies, UniBank, Enterprise Life, CAL Bank, and others.
