Over 400 young Ghanaians have responded to Tigo’s call to become ‘Digital Change-makers’.
In total 785 people signed up for the application process, however, by the closing date on December 8, 2014, 482 had fully completed the online application process.
Speaking about the selection process, the Head of Corporate Communications and CSR for Tigo Ghana, Gifty Bingley said in the coming week’s an expert panel including Tigo staff will review all applications and shortlist the best entries.
She explained Tigo had received great feedback from several tech entrepreneurs who are in need of support to either start up their business or scale up.
The two top winners will each receive a seed capital of $20,000 (GHS60, 000) and the needed expert guidance and support to implement their ideas.
Tigo Digital Change-makers is a partnership between mobile network operator, Tigo Ghana and international non-governmental organisation, Reach for Change.
