Ghanaian gospel music sensation Ceccy Twum has expressed her views on sabotage, affirming that it indeed exists within the gospel music fraternity.
In an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes show she revealed that there are instances of sabotage in the industry, with certain groups showing favoritism and even persuading DJs not to play some artistes’ songs.
However, Ceccy Twum stated that she is unbothered by such treatment, stressing that God is her refuge and will fight her battles for her.
“I always say to myself that when I was nobody and God pulled me from wherever I was and brought me here, you did not make me for you to break me. So whatever you do whether you sabotage me or not, I don’t care. My God will still fight for me and you can do nothing about it,” Ceccy Twum told Roselyn Felli.
She further explained that a group of individuals in the industry are selective and sometimes connive with DJs not to play certain artistes’ songs, thereby sidelining some musicians.
However, she refuses to be discouraged even if such actions affect her music.
“I heard that there’s a group that plan for DJs not to play your songs. So when you bring out a song, they have a platform and there are some people they call gatekeepers who will tell them not to play some particular songs.”
The “Me Nyame Aye Awie” singer emphasized that she remains focused on her music and is not bothered about being sidelined, expressing her firm belief that God is her refuge.
