Singer Becca has rubbished claims that she used funds from Zylofon Media to open a spa in Accra. The ‘You Lied To Me’ singer noted that she was well to do before she even signed the deal to join Zylofon Media. Becca on June 2, 2017, singed a three-year promotion and management deal with the record label. The singer later opened a body and health treatment centre, Kora, at East Legon near the A&C Shopping Mall in May last year. “I had enough cash before I signed on to Zylofon,” she told Mamavi Owusu-Aboagye on Cosmopolitan Mix on Joy FM Tuesday. She explained that she had made a lot of money from music before she joined the label adding she is from a well-to-do home so such claims are frivolous. “Even before I joined Zylofon I was driving whatever car I wanted to drive, travel to everywhere I want to…eat whatever food I wanted,” she stated. Asked if she is still with Zylofon Media, the singer revealed that her contract with the label ended in January this year. Becca said she is still friends with Nana Appiah Mensah, owner of Zylofon Media, and everyone at the label. She disclosed that “the whole Zylofon team met” recently and she is open to any discussions regarding signing onto the label again. The ‘Yes I Do’ singer said she benefited in physical terms and also gained a lot “knowledge” from Zylofon Media and the people she worked with. She also believes that Zylofon Media also benefited from her too. When asked if she has invested in Menzgold, Becca explained that she does not have any money locked up at the troubled gold dealership. She, however, revealed that a lot of family members have their monies locked up there.
