Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has again, tagged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as people who do not read.
This he says leads to functionaries of the party misrepresenting macro-economic data and other development pointers to Ghanaians.
Drawing an example from the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s verdict in the matter of NDC and the Electoral Commission, Dr. Bawumia stressed his claim on NDC functionaries misleading the public.
General Secretary of the NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketiah told reporters outside the court that the seven-member bench granted their request for the EC to accept the old voters’ ID as identity document for acquiring a new one.
The written summary judgment, however, said otherwise, drawing backlash for the NDC scribe.
Hitting on this, Bawumia said NDC members should read and understand “so that they don’t mislead Ghanaians like their ‘mosquito general’ tried to do after the verdict of the Supreme Court on Thursday.”
Speaking at an NPP ceremony to acclaim President Nana Akufo-Addo and him, Bawumia as Presidential Candidate and Running Mate respectively for upcoming general elections, the Vice President insisted the data shows the NPP has managed the taxpayers’ money better than the NDC.
