Singer and songwriter Akwaboah says he spends about ¢4,000 to record a song.
The Sarkcess Record Label musician said the songs he creates require in-depth technical knowledge hence he spends much than some musicians do.
“The songs I do are very expensive. They aren’t the normal ¢1,000 or ¢2,000 songs,” he said in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Monday.
The ‘Hye Me Bo’ singer who tows the hiplife/highlife genre on some occasions admitted to doing live recordings which costs him more than other artistes.
“I pay engineers, singers, trumpeters and even drummers before the mixing comes in,” the singer revealed.
The singer is currently working on his up and coming album which would see some songs produced by a live recording.
He released the first song off the album, ‘Gangsta Love’ on November 8.
