Former President John Dramani Mahama says he is still interested in having a debate with President Akufo-Addo.
The NDC Presidential Candidate is asking for a one-on-one debate with the President so they can both give an account of their performance during their individual term of office.
"If the President agrees, I'll just sit with him and we'll all bring our papers and just talk to the Ghanaian people and show what we did with ₵56 billion and he too can show what he's done with ₵140 billion," he said in an interview.
He made the comments during an interview with three hosts from the Multimedia Group where he disclosed that he is ready to account for monies borrowed during his tenure.
He stated that his government can boast of massive infrastructural development in terms of road construction, schools, health facilities, among others, adding that, his new administration will focus on job creation and skills development for the youth.
"I have a legacy of massive roads infrastructure during my previous tenure. Now, I want to leave a legacy of massive job creation during my next tenure," he said.
The former President earlier proposed a debate with President Akufo-Addo, but the latter has declined.
Mr Mahama, however, insists on having a debate with the President.
