Ghanaian fashion influencer and celebrity stylist, Richard Brown, popularly known as Osebo the Zaraman, has revealed that long before he gained fame for his fashion sense, he was known for preaching the word of God at school.
Speaking on The Career Trail program on Joy Learning TV and Joy News, Osebo disclosed that during his days as a student at Awuku Darko Senior Secondary School in Suhum, his headmaster gave him the nickname “Osofo”because of his constant preaching.
“Every Wednesday, when the school gathered, I would be the one invited to share the word of God. I was always with my Bible, and anytime I had free moments, I would read it,” he said.
Osebo explained that this devotion to Scripture stemmed from his upbringing.
“I grew up in a Christian home. My mother lived like a pastor’s wife, and my father was a pastor. So everything around me was church, church, church,” he recounted.
He noted that while many people may see him more as a fashion figure than a spiritual one, in school he was deeply rooted in his faith, often channeling his energy into sharing the gospel.
Even today, he says, his commitment to God has never changed.
According to the Fashion King, those experiences of regularly standing before his peers to preach instilled in him discipline and confidence, qualities he says still influence his personal and professional life.
