The Municipal Chief Executive for Keta, Emmanuel Gemegah, says he will resolve the acute water crisis faced by Anyako residents.
According to him, the lack of potable water for residents has lingered on for a long time.
During a tour in Anyako on Sunday, he said, "Every town must have access to potable water but Anyako does not have water despite being surrounded by many rivers and it is a liability I came to meet as MCE."
"I pledge today to make sure by the grace of God to fix the water problem by the time I leave office," he added.
The MCE noted that providing residents with potable water cannot be done without the support of opulent residents.
He, therefore, called on the support of well to do residents in the locality.
The Assemblyman of the area, Wisdom Seade, noted that the water bodies within the community can only be used for fishing activities but not domestic purposes.

"We have water bodies, but we cannot use it for cooking or bathing because it is very salty".
He, therefore, urged "everyone touched by our plight to come to our aid by solving our water crises that have lingered on for decades now."
