The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has directed an investigation into allegations contained in a viral video claiming that some police personnel at Kibi were involved in the unauthorised withdrawal of GH¢400,000 from the mobile money account of a mobile money agent.
The IGP tasked the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) to conduct a thorough probe into the claims circulating on social media.
According to the police, the alleged victim has since been contacted and is cooperating with investigators as efforts continue to establish the facts surrounding the incident.
The Police Service assured the public that the investigation will be conducted professionally and that the outcome will be communicated once the process is completed.
