Black Stars and Helsingborg striker David Accam is hopeful of featuring prominently in new Coach Avram Grant team after being on the periphery of former Coach Kwasi Appiah's team despite a number of call-ups.
Accam has featured once for the Black stars despite his stunning scoring form in Sweden which saw him score 17 goals last season in the Swedish League. The former Right to Dream Academy trainee told Joy Sports in an exclusive chat he is confident of making Avram Grant first eleven consistently.
" I know Avram is a good coach who as a lot of experience in managing African players especially in Portsmouth. Personally I always come and do my best but I know the coach is the one who decides who plays for the national team. For me I want to play for my country and playing at the nations cup is big stage for every player that's why every player wants to be there so yeah I want to play for Ghana at the nations cup and am always ready "Accam said .
Accam received his first call-up to the Ghana national team for a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Sudan on 24 March 2013, in which he was an unused substitute but made his debut under caretaker Coach Maxwell Konadu when the Black Stars lost 0-1 in Kampala, Uganda qualification for the 2015 nations cup to be staged in Equatorial Guinea.
