Ghanaian Gospel musician Samuel Opuku, popularly known as Broda Sammy says he is not a controversial person.
Aside from being known as one of Ghana’s most talented and popular gospel musicians, he is also well known for the controversies and stirs he causes in some of the comments and lyrics of his songs.
Broda Sammy on the other hand, denied any aspect of him being controversial during an interview with Mauvie the Motivator on Joy Prime’s Fresh Juice.
According to him, he does nothing but tell the mere truth.
He claims Ghanaians hate to hear things that are true so when he decides to point out facts, people see him to be a controversial person which to him, he is not.
“You know in our country when you say the truth, people will know you as controversial or something but the truth is always the truth”.
“I’m not controversial. You know black men don’t like truth so when you say the truth, they always take it to be a trend. I don’t like trends but the truth will always trend, the truth will always defeat the lies so when you say the truth it will always trend because they don’t want the truth”.
The gospel artiste also reacted to a rumour about him having a womanizing character. His response was his song from 2018, “Nipa Fuu Na Odi Nsem Fuu” which translates as “It’s a foolish person that speaks foolishness.”
In response to the person’s statement, he sang the lines of his song which when translated says; “It’s a foolish person that speaks foolishness, An ugly person behaves stupid and the one with tooth decay is who spoils a person”…..
He said he had no other words to back him up, except the words of his own song.
