Rector at the Ghana Institute of Social Democracy, Dr. William Ahadzie says he is not surprised that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) scored a 59.25% for governance.
This follows a report put together by IMANI Ghana as part of efforts to exhaust the scorecard on the NPP's 2016 manifesto as far as the party's promises and execution of those promises were concerned.
Dr. Ahadzie described NPP's 59.25% score in governance as poor and urged the Akufo-Addo government to sit up.
"A large percentage of a small value is still smaller than an average percentage of the larger number of promises," he said.
He also explained that, it was the handling of some issues and scandals including the PDS and Agyapa Deal that led IMANI to arrive at such a conclusion.
He reiterated his stand that the pre-election surveys conducted by the Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) and IMANI are not absolutely correct since other reports prove otherwise.
"Unless you do a survey over a long period, this point to point comparison does not reveal the conditions of living for a particular people.
"So I have a problem with that and I have said it over and over again," he said
He, however, stressed that the reports in no way weaken the efforts of the NDC since there is always time for the political environment to change ahead of the December 7 polls.
Below is the Final Report Card on the delivery of the NPP Government's 2016 Manifesto.
