The probe, into a case in which judges were captured in audio-visual recordings allegedly receiving bribes, has been temporarily suspended.
The five-member committee hearing the disciplinary proceedings case discharged today’s principal witness, Anas Aremeyaw Anas following a suit filed by the judges implicated in the judicial scandal.
The judges and some judicial staff were captured on video allegedly receiving bribes, prompting the setting up of a committee to institute disciplinary proceedings against them.
Fourteen of the 22 lower court judges suspended in the wake of the scandal, went to the High Court to challenge the legality of the proceedings.

They argued the proceedings were instituted in breach of due process of law.
Even though the committee had indicated it will not be restrained by the case in court, the scheduled hearing on Friday suffered a second a setback.
The hearing was first scheduled for Tuesday, September 15 but was postponed because a key member of the committee, Nene Amegatcher, who is also the president of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) was attending the Bar Conference in Kumasi.
At today's sitting, members of the committee in view of the pendency of the case in court, refrained from hearing the matter.
Joy News' Kwakye Afreh Nuamah reported that the committee members were Friday afternoon locked up in a meeting to deliberate on their next line of action.
The hearing of the substantive case at the High Court has been fixed for September 22, 2015.
