Joseph Laweh Attamah has been called up to the Black Stars after an impressive start to 2017 /18 season.
The defender’s meteoric rise to the Black Stars comes after a blistering start to Turkish Super Lig as well as the Champions League qualifier where he was one of the top performers for Istanbul BaÅŸakÅŸehir despite being knocked out by Sevilla.
The former Ghana youth international will be hoping to make an appearance this time around after he gained an initial call-up by Israeli trainer Avram Grant prior to the African Cup of Nations. He was part of 26 man squad that camped in Dubai ahead of the tournament but failed to make the final cut.

Attamah’s versatility could be useful for Ghana as he is adept at playing both at center back and in defensive midfield.
The former Tema Youth defender was a mainstay in the Ghana team that won bronze at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey.
The Black Stars are preparing for 2018 World cup qualifier double header with Congo hoping to get their campaign back on track after picking up a point out of six.
