There was no change in the rate of inflation between July and August.
The rate of 9.5 percent recorded in July remained unchanged in August.
This implies there general prices of goods and services remained fairly stable in the month of August compared to the same period last year.
In terms of monthly change, there was however a decline of 0.8 percent between July and August compared to a rise of 0.4 percent between June and July.
