Innovative Channels (IC), publishers of the Infant Eye, a social and religious magazine has presented assorted novels, certificates and cash prizes to selected pupils of Basic Schools in the Hohoe district.
The gesture was meant to encourage reading and proficiency in the English language among students and pupils in the district.
Ms. Rosemond Darko, General Manageress of IC told the Ghana News Agency that the concept was to test the competence and aptitude of children in short essay writing, language, puzzle and other alphabet games in the Infant Eye, Child's Eye and the Informer magazines.
She said about 50 students would receive reading materials, cash and certificates in the Volta Region.
