A group of unidentified youth on Thursday took over the Ashaiman Lorry Park and allegedly confiscated revenue tickets.
Adom News has learnt that the youth who were believed to be NDC foot soldiers, also seized an unspecified amount of money being revenue collected from traders at the park earlier on Thursday.
An eye witness, Forzie Saano Harrison, who is also a revenue collector told Adom News the irate youth stormed his office demanding the revenue tickets and the sales made as at Thursday morning, a demand he said he refused.
He said the youth then forcibly took the money away from him and subsequently subjected him to physical assault for refusing to obey orders.
According to him, even though they reported the incident to the Ashaiman police, little action has been taken.
Meanwhile the Ashaiman Divisional Police Commander Peter Cobbina has downplayed the incident saying it was a trivial incident.
