With rains yet to set in and rainstorms already wreaking havoc in some parts of the country, Joy News’ Francisca Kakra Forson examines the Capital’s preparedness for the rains. The Kwame Nkrumah Circle, one of the capital’s major landmarks, has become an area often associated with vehicular congestion. In recent years however, the area has become known as one of flood-prone areas in the capital. Only two years ago, several lives and property were lost to floods during the rainy season. To forestall a re-occurrence, government and city authorities made countless promises.
