Israelis are marking two years since Hamas's attack on 7 October 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken hostage.

At the site of the Nova festival attack, people embrace at memorials garnished with flowers, tributes and candles.

"On 7 October 2023 our peaceful and happy life turned into hell, grief and unimaginable loss that accompanies me every moment," former hostage Eli Sharabi says.
